Dear visitors,

Orava Museum of P. O. Hviezdoslav in partnership with the Museum of Cieszyn Silesia in Český Těšín, is proud to present the Tranosciana Register, financed from the micro-project “Juraj Tranovský – the bearer of the song culture.” The register is dedicated to the Evangelic preacher Juraj Tranovský (1592 – 1637) and his magnum opus Cithara sanctorum. As one of the outputs of the aforementioned project, the register lists all the preserved issues of the hymnal in the collection of the Čaplovič’s Library.
